With a fleshy texture and primary flavors of blackberry, black cherry, black raspberry, chocolate, leather, and violets, our Sangiovese Grosso has round tannins, high acidity, high alcohol, and a medium body. Produced from rich and deep volcanic soils on a south-facing hillside on the eastern edge of Dry Creek Valley. Fermented in stainless steel for fourteen days, then gently pressed and racked to one-half new French oak barrels to age for eightteen months. Bottled February 15, 2024. Enjoyable now, this wine will gain complexity over the next 5-7 years.
